Here on our farm, Minis 'N Friends, in central Nebraska we primarily raise two kinds of miniature animals-Nigerian Dwarf goats and Southdown Babydoll sheep. We also have miniature horses, miniature donkeys, a miniature Hereford cow, a Scottish Highland cow, several full size horses, a llama, chickens, three cats, and a dog. We like the miniatures because they are easy to care for and handle. Our flock of goats and sheep also do an excellent job of keeping the weeds down around our buildings which means less mowing with the lawn mower! Each spring we have a number of lambs and kids for sale listed on our For Sale page.
We enjoy using our animals in demonstrations with kids whenever we get the chance. We have hauled them to church functions and Bible camps where we give lessons about how God created so many different kinds of animals with many unique traits. When we have baby animals in the spring we also like to take them to the local rest home to visit.
