Our Nigerian Dwarf Goats

Minis 'N Friends has a small herd of registered Nigerian Dwarf goats in central Nebraska consisting of six does. In the fall of 2024, we made the difficult decision to not breed for a year or two. We primarily use our Nigerian Dwarf goats as pets and to keep the weeds down but we have in the past milked our does for a couple of months a year. The Nigerian Dwarf breed is a dairy goat with very high butterfat in their milk. We have made cheese and yogurt and use it in cooking. It is delicious. Our goats are all registered with the AGS and ADGA. However as of June 2024, babies will only come with AGS applications. We are no longer going to use the ADGA (due to requiring DNA on bucks, overall pricing, and poor communication). See our For Sale page to see if we have any babies available for sale.

The baby Nigerian Dwarf goats are so much fun. They love to run, jump, and play and we could spend hours every day just watching them run in the Nebraska sunshine, but unfortunately there is always work that needs to be done as well. We will be having a limited number of kids in 2025. We will only be breeding Twix, Little Debbie, Caramel and Peachy and they won't be due until late June.

Caramel is a buckskin with moon spots that is registered with the ADGA and AGS. She is very friendly and always one of the first to greet us. She has had triplets for us three years in a row and they are always flashy with moon spots.

Little Debbie is out of Queenie and Sam (see former sires and dams below). She is black with limited white, roaning, and frosted ears, nose, and tail. She is triple registered with the ADGA, AGS, and NDGA. She is a bit timid, but her babies are always gorgeous.

Peachy is triple registered with the ADGA, AGS, and NDGA. She is a pretty doe with several moon spots. A little timid she will come up to people she knows but not strangers. We have milked her and she has a nice udder that is easy to milk. In 2019 she actually had quintuplets. She is a full sister to Pecan below.

Twix is a doe out of Bunny and Gruff (see Former Sires and Dams below) that we retained in 2023. She is a colorful buckskin with a white overlay and blue eyes. She is ADGA & AGS registered.

Bunny was retired in 2023. She was a buckskin with heavy white overlay and blue eyes that was triple registered with the AGS, ADGA and the NDGA. She threw colorful babies with blue eyes. She had a very nice personality and we used her a lot for our animal presentations for kids. We kept her daughter, Twix.

Gruff was Minis 'N Friends' buck from 2020 until 2023. He was double registered with the AGS and the ADGA. He had blue eyes and lots of moon spots. He averaged 50/50 does & bucks and over 50% were blue eyed. We kept one of his 2023 daughters, Twix.

Queenie died of old age in 2020. She was triple registered with the ADGA, AGS, and NDGA. She was a great little goat almost always having triplets and raising them with very little supplement. We have one of her daughters-Little Debbie.

Sam was Minis 'N Friends' buck from 2011 until 2016. He was triple registered with the NDGA, AGS, and the ADGA. He was a very small tri-color with blue eyes and was a friendly sweet-tempered buck. He averaged 50/50 does & bucks and 50% were blue eyed. We kept a daughter out of him - Little Debbie.
