Free sheep database file is at the bottom of this page.
We do keep a waiting list for the Babydoll Southdown lambs and Nigerian Dwarf goat kids each year, let us know if you want put on it. No charge to be on it.
Prices are listed below individual animals, we will occasionally consider trading for registered Babydolls or Nigerians.
POLICIES
*We require a $100 non-refundable deposit to reserve an animal, unless the value is under $175 and then the deposit may be less. Until we have a deposit in hand all animals are considered still for sale and available on a first come first serve basis. If for some reason the animal a deposit is placed on is unavailable (due to death or injury for example) we will either refund your deposit or offer another animal if available. Otherwise, the deposit is non-refundable.
*There will be a fee of 4.5% added on to payments made through Paypal. We are a business and business sales on Paypal are charged a percentage for transactions.
* If you are out of state (not in Nebraska) or if the remainder due is over $1,000, then the remainder due for pickup will need to be cash if paid at the time of pickup or else paid in advance over PayPal or with a mailed check.
*Sheep and goats are herd animals, they do not do well alone. Cows, horses, donkeys, dogs, etc. . . do not count as being part of their herd. You must have other sheep and goats already or else buy more than one animal. We will not sell a single goat or sheep to go to a home where it will be the only goat or sheep.
*The cost of all health certificates and tests that are required for transporting out of Nebraska are the responsibility of the buyer to request for us to have them done and must be paid for in advance.
*We make no guarantee that our lambs and kids are all tame and friendly. We have a large enough flock that we cannot possibly tame down all of the babies. Please ask us about individual lambs or kids if this is a priority for you as we do pick up on their different personalities as we are around them every day and some are naturally friendlier than others.
*We reserve the right to retain any baby, regardless of outside reservations. This is for the purpose of keeping and improving our own stock. However, we will do our best to meet the needs of outside reservations. We also reserve the right to refuse to sell to any buyer for any reason.
*Animals need to be picked up in a timely manner. If it is a weaned baby it needs to be picked up within two weeks of weaning. If an extended time is needed please just let us know in advance, we are willing to work with buyers if you communicate with us. If communication is poor and an animal is not picked up in a timely manner we will charge a daily fee until it is picked up or if we deem it necessary we may list the animal for sale again and the deposit is non-refundable.
* If you would like a bottle baby you need to be on the waiting list, so that if we have a lamb become available as a bottle lamb, you will get a chance at it. We will only sell a very limited number of ram lambs as bottle babies and these will most likely be out of sets of triplets or older ewes. Only if a mother rejects a ewe lamb or is unable to care for it will we consider selling ewe lambs as bottle babies. CAUTION: bottle babies are delicate and take lots of care. They can be fussy about taking a bottle and can easily get an upset stomach or diarrhea. Be sure you know what you are in for when asking for a bottle baby. Once a baby leaves our farm we cannot be responsible for what happens to it.
*All of our Southdown Babydoll lambs are given CD/T shots and will have their tails docked.
*We do NOT do the genetic codon testing on our sheep for QQ, QR, or RR.
*All of our Nigerian Dwarf kids are given CD/T shots and are disbudded. We wean all bucks at 2 months old.
*If you would like your goats tattooed before taking them home, it is the buyer's responsibility to ask us to do the tattoos. We do not tattoo them otherwise.

UNREGISTERED BABYDOLL LAMBS
Prices will range from $100 to $500.
Evening Primrose, is out of a past registered ram and a past unregistered ewe we owned. Had triplets in 2023 and raised them herself at the age of 8. Had twins in 2024 at the age of 9. She is just getting up in years and has a little trouble keeping her weight up when pregnant and nursing. Some extra feed and she would be fine. In the large flock, she is a bit timid and hangs around at the back of the flock. When she is in a smaller group, she will come up to you and eat treats out of your hand. She just won't push through the other sheep to get treats, but she is friendly, if a bit timid. She is currently in with our ram, Mickey.

Free Sheep Database File
I designed this database for keeping track of our Babydoll sheep and we have been using it for several years now. I am hopeful that I have worked out most of the programming problems during that time. I am offering the file for free, but you will need your own copy of Microsoft Access 2007 or newer in order to open and use it. (Note: it may be possible to open the database with OpenOffice's database program, but some "tweeking" needs to be done to the file. Just search open Access file with OpenOffice and you will get lots of information. No guarantees that it will open with everything working correctly, but it may be an option if you do not own Microsoft Access). It is all set up ready to enter and organize the information but some knowledge of databases would be beneficial to better use it. It is editable. If you have a knowledge of Access you can go in and change things. It has the information we desire to keep on our sheep. I know some people may have other things you wish to keep track of that aren't included. I designed this after looking at several databases like Flock Filer and Ranch Manager and neither kept track of the information that I wanted easily. Mine does track financial information of bought and sold sheep, and it shows lambing records for each ewe, as well as tracks breeding information. It does not keep track of animal weight or wool information, and while it can show limited pedigree information it may not show enough for some. Just click on the file link below and choose to Save to your computer the blank Access database file and the PDF file that has some helpful information. Last update December 2020.
